USASC Cincinnati features two intake rooms and 10 clinical exam rooms, where you will go for your initial consultation, as well as all pre and postoperative appointments with our physicians and surgeons. We encourage you to bring your Care Partner to your examinations so the two of you can ask questions about what to expect during your upcoming procedure and recovery period.
At USASC, we aim to provide effective, precise treatment for your spine condition. In order to accurately assess what is causing your pain, our surgeons and physicians need MRI images that are less than six months old. Some patients, therefore, will require additional MRI testing during their patient experience. If this turns out to be the case for you, our laser spine surgery center has an MRI imaging and reporting suite for your convenience.
In addition to MRI and X-ray images, our spinal diagnostic center can provide discograms, diagnostic facet injections and selective nerve root block injections.
On the day of your surgery, you will meet with your surgeon and anesthesiologist in our preoperative care area. During this time, we encourage you to ask any additional questions about your surgery and recovery process. We understand that the moments leading up to your outpatient procedure can be stressful, so we will do everything we can to make you feel calm and comfortable.
The laser spine surgery center in Cincinnati offers three world-class operating rooms. In one of these rooms you will undergo minimally invasive surgery to treat your spine condition.
We offer both minimally invasive decompression and minimally invasive stabilization spine surgery. Our procedures are often a clinically appropriate alternative to open neck or back surgery and have helped more than 75,000 patients find lasting relief from chronic neck and back pain caused by a variety of spine conditions.
After surgery, you will be moved to our postoperative recovery area to rest and recover from the anesthesia. After regaining full consciousness, you will meet with a registered nurse and your Care Partner to go over some requirements and guidelines for your recovery period, including which activities to avoid as you heal and how to keep your surgical dressing clean and dry.
Our minimally invasive spine surgeries are performed as outpatient procedures. That means after you recover in the postoperative area and have been cleared for release, you will be free to go home or to your hotel room as long as you are under the supervision of your Care Partner.
If you have any questions about your patient experience at our Cincinnati surgery center, we encourage you to contact a member of our team for more information. We are ready to welcome you to our world-class spine institute surgery center in Cincinnati.
